Conventional Lens Technology

The human eye is like a camera and the retina acts as an image detector that detects light and three types of color: Blue-Violet, Yellow-Green and Red Orange. Conventional sunglass lenses place colored filters between the image and the eye to reduce glare and ultraviolet rays. The results are limited to a reduction of light intensity with a substantially unchanged sensation of color. Other lens manufacturers resort to color tinting to improve color stimulation but this type of process only improves one basic color type in the color spectrum.
